Cosmetic Surgery Trip > Face
Upper Eyelids Surgery, Lower Eyelids Surgery: 850 - 1050 GBP
The purpose of the surgery is to remove the excess skin and fat bags on the upper and lower eyelids. With the right indication eyelid surgery has a highly rejuvenating effect. The procedure can be carried out either only on the upper or lower eyelids, but both procedures can be carried out together during one operation.
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia. To begin with the surgeon will draw a line of the surgical incisions and define the extent of the excessive skin on both sides in order to achieve symmetry. This will be followed by the injected anaesthetic and the actual surgical procedure.
After surgery the sutured wounds are covered by thin tape which is left for a period of 7 days until the sutures are removed. On the top eyelids the resulting scar is tucked within the folded skin of the eyelid and on the lower eyelids it is tucked directly beneath the lashes. After the procedure the patient is given eye water and cotton wool pads to cool the eyelids in the first few days so the post-operative swelling goes down as soon as possible.
Nose Reshaping Surgery: from 950 GBP
The purpose of nose reshaping surgery is to alter the bone and cartilaginous part of the nose to achieve the best possible nose shape. It is good if the patient has a specific idea about how she wants her nose surgically altered. When planning the procedure it must be considered what can and cannot be achieved in view of the resulting shape.
The procedures used for reshaping the bone part of the nose by osteotomy are performed under full anaesthesia. Isolated procedures on nose cartilage can be performed under local anaesthesia.
In most cases a plaster splint is fixed to the nose after surgery for a period of 10-14 days.
Ear Correction: 950 GBP
Oto plastic surgery corrects protruding external ears. During surgery the ear cartilage is reshaped so the ear is pulled back closer to the head. The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia. A surgical incision is made behind the external ear into the folded skin between the ear and behind the ear. This makes the scar invisible. During the operation the surgeon checks the position of both ears so they end up symmetrical on both sides. A headband is worn after the procedure 24 hours a day for 3 weeks and then overnight for another 14 days. You can wash your head 3 days after the procedure. The wounds are healed after 14 days. The sutures are absorbable.
Facelift Surgery: from 1350 GBP
SMAS Face-lift
is a procedure during which stretched facial and neck skin is reduced. Simultaneously, folds are created and lifted from the SMAS in the typical spots. SMAS is an acronym for Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System of the face. Lifting the folds from the SMAS on the face and neck has a major impact on the long-term result. The skin is drawn behind the SMAS sideways upwards and downwards. The scars in this procedure are made in the hair area of the temporal region and are also directed in front of the external ear retrotragally behind the ears.
MACS-lift
The difference in this procedure as opposed to the traditional face-lift entails a different course in skin incisions and the different method of work with the SMAS. The resulting scars are placed only in front of the external ear (and space behind the ears) and also enter the temporal region along the hair line. The SMAS is lifted by tugs of threaded sutures and by deep temporal fascia lifted vertically with a perpendicular upward tug. This is choice taken by patients who do not have very defined excess skin on the neck and in those cases where the region around the external corner of the eye needs to be lifted and is suitable for patients of a lower age group.
