Cosmetic Surgery Trip > For men
Upper Eyelids Surgery, Lower Eyelids Surgery: 850 - 1050 GBP
The purpose of the surgery is to remove the excess skin and fat bags on the upper and lower eyelids. With the right indication eyelid surgery has a highly rejuvenating effect. The procedure can be carried out either only on the upper or lower eyelids, but both procedures can be carried out together during one operation.
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia. To begin with the surgeon will draw a line of the surgical incisions and define the extent of the excessive skin on both sides in order to achieve symmetry. This will be followed by the injected anaesthetic and the actual surgical procedure.
After surgery the sutured wounds are covered by thin tape which is left for a period of 7 days until the sutures are removed. On the top eyelids the resulting scar is tucked within the folded skin of the eyelid and on the lower eyelids it is tucked directly beneath the lashes. After the procedure the patient is given eye water and cotton wool pads to cool the eyelids in the first few days so the post-operative swelling goes down as soon as possible.
Ear Correction: 950 GBP
Oto plastic surgery corrects protruding external ears. During surgery the ear cartilage is reshaped so the ear is pulled back closer to the head. The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia. A surgical incision is made behind the external ear into the folded skin between the ear and behind the ear. This makes the scar invisible. During the operation the surgeon checks the position of both ears so they end up symmetrical on both sides. A headband is worn after the procedure 24 hours a day for 3 weeks and then overnight for another 14 days. You can wash your head 3 days after the procedure. The wounds are healed after 14 days. The sutures are absorbable.
Facelift Surgery: from 1350 GBP
SMAS Face-lift
is a procedure during which stretched facial and neck skin is reduced. Simultaneously, folds are created and lifted from the SMAS in the typical spots. SMAS is an acronym for Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System of the face. Lifting the folds from the SMAS on the face and neck has a major impact on the long-term result. The skin is drawn behind the SMAS sideways upwards and downwards. The scars in this procedure are made in the hair area of the temporal region and are also directed in front of the external ear retrotragally behind the ears.
MACS-lift
The difference in this procedure as opposed to the traditional face-lift entails a different course in skin incisions and the different method of work with the SMAS. The resulting scars are placed only in front of the external ear (and space behind the ears) and also enter the temporal region along the hair line. The SMAS is lifted by tugs of threaded sutures and by deep temporal fascia lifted vertically with a perpendicular upward tug. This is choice taken by patients who do not have very defined excess skin on the neck and in those cases where the region around the external corner of the eye needs to be lifted and is suitable for patients of a lower age group.
Liposuction: from 900 GBP
During this procedure fat deposits are removed from those parts of the body where there is an excess. This is not a method used to reduce body mass, but a procedure that shapes the body line.
Smaller fat deposits from some parts of the body can be sucked away under local anaesthesia. These are parts of the body such as the double chin, inner thighs, inside of the knees and from the arms.
It is better to opt for surgery with full anaesthesia and a two-day stay in hospital when undergoing liposuction of larger regions and a combination of these.
Immediately prior to the procedure the surgeon will outline the places on the patient's body that will undergo liposuction. The marked areas are filled with a liposuction solution at the start of the procedure. This solution causes the fat cells to split and separate, the fat is sucked out evenly and general blood loss is minimal.
The fat is sucked out by special liposuction cannulae of different diameters. These are inserted into the subcutaneous fat tissue from small approx. 5 - 10mm long incisions. After the procedure the wounds are sown up and covered by sterile gauze. The patient is dressed in an elastic garment or bandage in the operating room immediately after the procedure.
Three days after the procedure the patient can have a shower, dry the wounds and rub with disinfectant. Five days after the procedure he can begin with a massage as instructed. The elastic garment or bandage is worn for 4 weeks. The patient can begin with a light sport in 3 weeks and all other sport in 4 weeks.
Nose Reshaping Surgery: from 950 GBP
The purpose of nose reshaping surgery is to alter the bone and cartilaginous part of the nose to achieve the best possible nose shape. It is good if the patient has a specific idea about how she wants her nose surgically altered. When planning the procedure it must be considered what can and cannot be achieved in view of the resulting shape.
The procedures used for reshaping the bone part of the nose by osteotomy are performed under full anaesthesia. Isolated procedures on nose cartilage can be performed under local anaesthesia.
In most cases a plaster splint is fixed to the nose after surgery for a period of 10-14 days.
Tummy Tuck Surgery: from 1750 GBP
Tummy tuck surgery is performed to remove the excess fat and skin on the abdominal wall so the stomach is tucked in and its appearance improved. It is a procedure that can also remove stretch marks, especially if these are found on the lower abdomen. Part of the procedure is also bringing the sagging abdominal muscles closer together (diastases of the direct abdominal muscles). This part of the procedure helps to make the abdominal wall firmer and the waist slimmer.
The surgery is performed under full anaesthesia and lasts about one and a half hours. The surgical incisions are made in the lower abdomen so they can be concealed beneath underwear, and another small scar circles the belly navel.
Should the patient undergo mini-abdominoplasty (mini-tummy tuck) surgery, the resulting scar is made only in the lower abdomen and is shorter. Mini-abdominoplasty is a procedure that is only carried out only on the lower abdomen and is effective in patients where surgery around the region of the navel is not necessary. At the end of surgery the patient is dressed in an elastic garment specially designed for abdominoplasty.
The patient is then taken from the operating to the post-operative recovery room where his consciousness is monitored after anaesthesia and his basic vital signs are checked. He remains under the constant supervision of a nurse. Once the effects of anaesthesia wear off, the patient is taken back to her room. During the procedure he is prophylactically administered antibiotics. After surgery the patient receives regular painkilling injections.
After the surgery, drains are inserted into the patient to remove any remaining blood. On the third day when the patient can go home one drain is removed during a change of dressing and the other in the course of the next four to five days.
The patient is provided with a supply of antibiotics and painkillers when being discharged from the clinic. He receives a surgical protocol (describing the course of the surgery) and a discharge report with a recommendation as to how to proceed in the post-operative period and when to come in for check-ups. The ends of the sutures are snipped off 14 days after the procedure (the sutures are absorbable and the procedure is painless). It is recommended that the patient wears an elastic garment for 4 weeks.
